Shadow Me is a classic Catahoula Leopard Dog through and through—loyal, tireless, and always up for an adventure. He's about 4 years old, with eye-catching blue merle markings and a sturdy, athletic build. Shadow bonds tightly with his family and wants to be by your side, living up to his name. He loves a job to do, plenty of play, and finds comfort in routine. Dog-savvy adopters who know this breed’s quirks and strengths are a must for him. He plays enthusiastically with larger dogs, but small dogs and cats (and chickens) are out; he’s simply not safe to have around them. Kids are a yes, especially those who like to cuddle. He’s got a strong personality, can be a little wary in new settings due to missing out on some early socialization, and the world can feel big to him at first. Shadow is both crate and house trained, and he respects a leash despite his size and strength. Catahoula experience is required to adopt this boy—he’s not a plug-and-play first dog, but he’s a devoted shadow for the right home. He’s currently in Warren, ME, living with a loving foster.
