Meet Paws! Paws is a 12 year old girl who came to us a few months ago with 3 other senior cats after their owner passed away. The other cats were very social and were adopted quickly - but Paws needed time. She wasn't sure about us at first and kept her distance, but with patience and consistency, she has really started to come around. Now, Paws will approach the people she knows and trusts to ask for attention. She enjoys petting, leaning into it...and then lets you know when she's all set. She's a cat who appreciates her space and will do best with someone who understands and respects that. Paws is looking for a calm, understanding home where she can continue to blossom at her own pace. She doesn't need constant attention and may be a good match for someone who works during the day and wants a peaceful companion to come home to. What she does need is someone patient that will let her take the lead and offer her gentle encouragement. If you believe in giving shy seniors the time the deserve, Paws might be your girl.
