Dog's Name: Pup Gunner (GUN0426ALAMD) Estimated Breed: Black and Tan Coonhound mix Approximate Age: 4 months Approximate Weight: 26 lbs Currently Living at: Boarding Adoption Fee: $500 DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Pup Gunner! Gunner is a young, friendly boy searching for a loving forever home after being rescued by K-9 Lifesavers from an overcrowded shelter in Alabama. This handsome hound mix has beautiful coloring and the most soulful eyes that will melt your heart. Like most puppies, Gunner is playful, curious, and full of sweetness. He absolutely adores other dogs and interacts with them in a respectful, easygoing way, making him a wonderful candidate for a home with another canine companion. While he enjoys playtime, Gunner also has a calm and gentle side that makes him a lovely companion to relax with. At his young age, Gunner is in the perfect stage for training and socialization. With a little guidance and love, he will grow into an amazing lifelong companion. Gunner would make a wonderful addition to an active person, couple, or family looking to welcome the love, joy, and fun that a dog brings to a home. If you're ready for puppy kisses, happy tail wags, and a loyal best friend, Gunner may be the perfect match for you! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.
