Dog's Name: Wanda (WAN0426ALAFD) Estimated Breed: Plott Hound mix Approximate Age: 1 year Approximate Weight: 35 lbs Currently Living at: Coming Soon Adoption Fee: $400 DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Wanda — a Southern sweetheart with a heart full of hope! Wanda is a lovely Plott Hound mix who made the journey all the way from Alabama in search of something she's always deserved: a loving forever home. Despite spending much of her early life in a shelter, Wanda hasn't let that dim her spirit one bit. She's still as happy, social, and full of love as they come! This sweet girl absolutely lights up when she's around people and other dogs. She's fantastic with her canine friends and would love a home where she can have a playful buddy—or plenty of opportunities for doggy playdates. Wanda lives for time in the yard, where she can stretch her legs and enjoy being a carefree pup. After everything Wanda has been through, she's ready to give her whole heart to a family who will never let her go. All she needs now is someone to give her a chance to have a better life. Could that someone be you? Apply today! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet. Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
