About Janie

Introducing Janie -- a 3-year-old Pyr who is searching for a kind person to love her. Janie knows what abandonment feels like and she doesn't want to experience that again. She was left behind when her previous owners packed up and was found on the property when the new owners moved in. Despite this, she is incredibly sweet, though a bit timid -- and who can blame her. We're looking for nothing but the best for this girl from here on out! Janie is currently in a foster home where she is learning what home truly feels like. She's attaches quickly to people who show her affection, and her adopters better expect a shadow, because she will follow you from room to room. She also takes her guarding duties very seriously and will alert you of squirrels, people walking by, and those threatening delivery drivers. So, if you live in an apartment, she's not the girl for you. Janie is content with other dogs so long as they don't jump on her. She is good on a leash and in the car. She does not like confined spaces including crates, but thankfully she is trustworthy in the house when left alone. She would likely be fine with respectful kids and seems to be fine with cats. Her ideal home is on the quieter side. She would also love a fenced yard and a window so she can keep an eye on the neighborhood. 🚕Janie is currently in Nashville, TN but can travel.
