About Fritz
Meet Fritz. Eleven years old and carrying himself with the easy composure of an old movie star, Fritz is the archetype of dignity in a fur coat. He’s fully housebroken and carries an air of ‘been there, done that’ around the home—never out of place, always composed, and reliably well-mannered. Fritz pursues life’s simple joys: the right snack, a sunny spot on the sofa, and an audience for his daily rounds of petting. Don’t let his age fool you. While Fritz has slowed down a bit, he loves staying involved and would be the go-getter at any retirement community—one minute checking the yard, the next supervising life inside. He thrives on human company and greets adults and visitors with an easy, welcoming attitude. Children are just as welcome to his party, which he hosts from his favorite spot in the living room. Fritz does need to be your one and only dog. He’s not open to sharing his kingdom and won’t entertain canine housemates. Cats, however, earn his indifference; he simply doesn’t care, which sums up his stance perfectly. Fritz is more Golden in personality—steady, social, mellow—than Pyrenees, except when it comes to watchfulness. That’s when his guardian streak shines. He’s not going to succeed in an apartment or confined space, but give him a secure fenced yard and a routine, and you’ll have a calm, attentive companion for years to come. Ready to fall in love?
