Toffee
AvailableToffee is a young female Rottweiler with a large build and a medium-length bicolor coat. She’s fully housetrained, spayed, and up to date on vaccinations. Living in Detroit, MI, Toffee brings both brains and affection in one impressive package. She’s best suited to someone with large breed experience who can handle her size and intelligence and is currently working through some hip and back discomfort that requires a gentle touch.
About Toffee
Toffee is the kind of Rottweiler who sizes you up before you even know what game you’re playing. She learns fast—so quick it feels like she reads minds—but never rubs it in, just radiates that quiet confidence that comes from being ninety pounds and smarter than most humans. She takes her play seriously; fetch and tug are her sports, and she’ll keep at it long after you’re ready to collapse. When it’s time to slow down, she’ll lean all her weight up against you on the couch—no negotiating, just full-body closeness that’s all heart. She is rock solid on house and crate training, and knows her commands (with a few bonus tricks). But Toffee needs someone who truly knows what large working dogs require—preferably someone with Rottweiler or similar breed experience. Not because she’s a problem, but because she will thrive with someone who gets her level and strength. Currently, Toffee is working through some hip and lower back discomfort, so she needs a calm space and a gentle, patient approach as she heals. She does best in a home without children or cats. She likes other dogs but will need managed mealtimes due to resource guarding around food. She’s ready for a challenge and to put her loyalty on the line. If you’re experienced and up for it, she just might be your perfect match. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!

Questions about Toffee

How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Rottweilers like Toffee generally need ample outdoor space for exercise and mental stimulation. A securely fenced yard is ideal, but consistent walks and active play are essential.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Rottweilers are known for their loyalty but can be overwhelming for small children due to their size and strength. In Toffee’s case, she needs a home without children to ensure everyone’s comfort and safety.
