Everything is still very new to me, but I am the sweetest, funniest, big/little boy! I will let you hold me on my back, and I am very gentle and docile! I have been getting to go to work with my foster person every day, and have been a great companion! I have the best manners while I’m at the shop, and mostly just sleep! One thing I am definitely not a fan of is being alone in a crate. I will need someone willing to continue working with me on this and help me understand that it is a safe place to be while I adjust to life as a big puppy, and until I can be out of the crate alone in the house on my own. I may do fine as the only dog in a home, but I may also need another dog that will play with me and teach me new things. I play great with the other Bostons in my foster home, and I love toys of all kinds! At bedtime, I have been doing great with sleeping with everyone in the bed through the night without accidents! As long as I keep to a consistent schedule, I have been doing great with potty training! I will need someone willing to keep the routine going to ensure success with all that! Sounds in the neighborhood, like other dogs barking down the street, can be startling to me, and I will bark back. I will also bark if the other Bostons in my foster home start barking, but we calm down right away. All our dogs are spayed/neutered (if six months and older), up to date on rabies and distemper, heartworm tested, and microchipped. Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption. MABTR requires a fenced in area from families who own their home, however we DO adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases a leash law must be enforced. We do not accept invisible fencing. MABTR only adopts to families residing in NE, CO, MO, KS, IA, WY, SD, ND, ID, UT, MT, MN, and NW AR due to the lack of volunteer support in other states, no exception even if you are willing to drive.
