I’m looking for a new home because I was released from a breeder. I am currently being fostered in Omaha, NE. When I first arrived at my foster family’s home, I was very scared. But little by little, I’ve been warming up to my foster parents and my foster sister. I’m a very sweet girl who loves giving kisses, and I’m just starting to learn how to play. When I need some quiet time, I like to relax in my kennel—it’s my safe space. I’m still getting used to being picked up, but I’m starting to go down the stairs on my own. I’m almost there with potty training - just trying to figure out how to tell my foster family I need to go outside. I’m not yet a fan of the leash but am happy to lay in the grass and soak up the sunshine. I may be a little shy at first, but with patience and love, I’m showing more of my personality every day. All our dogs are spayed/neutered (if six months and older), up to date on rabies and distemper, heartworm tested, and microchipped. Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption. MABTR requires a fenced in area from families who own their home, however we DO adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases a leash law must be enforced. We do not accept invisible fencing. MABTR only adopts to families residing in NE, CO, MO, KS, IA, WY, SD, ND, ID, UT, MT, MN, and NW AR due to the lack of volunteer support in other states, no exception even if you are willing to drive.
