About Pearl
Pearl is a small Chihuahua/Dachshund mix estimated to be around 4 years old. She came into rescue with young puppies and, after some time in foster care, has started to show her affectionate side. Pearl can be a bit standoffish and will bark when meeting new people, but with patience and space, she warms up and becomes a devoted, loving companion. She prefers being close to her person and will happily lie on her bed nearby if you’re working from home. Pearl gets along with resident dogs, cats, and even ducks, and she enjoys playing with toys and running energetic zoomies around the house and yard. She has learned to use the dog door but needs encouragement to go outside when it’s rainy. Pearl would thrive with an adopter who has experience with shy dogs and can be patient during her adjustment period. She can be vocal and likes to alert the household to anything unusual, so an apartment is probably not the best fit. Pearl is spayed and her vaccinations are up to date. She is looking for a home in the greater Seattle area. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
