About Cookie
Cookie is a tiny adult Chihuahua who landed at the shelter after being found as a stray. Early on, Cookie went home with a potential adopter, but the transition was too fast and left her anxious. She slipped out the door, went missing briefly, and was ultimately returned to the shelter for a steadier start. Thankfully, Cookie is now settling into an environment that respects her need for time and patience, which is already helping her open up. Her foster describes her as a classic velcro dog: deeply attached to her person, happiest curled in a lap, following you from room to room, or burrowing under covers if you let her. Cookie thrives on affection, loves to be held, and eagerly greets you when you return home. While she’s playful and enjoys walks, her anxiety means she needs a gentle, understanding family who will lead confidently and offer plenty of reassurance. Cookie is nearly house-trained and prefers using the yard. She’s crate trained and sleeps calmly in her crate at night or when alone. Cookie gets along well with other dogs and ignores cats entirely. If you want a loyal sidekick who will quickly claim you as her favorite human, Cookie is waiting in Bothell, WA. Start your journey together! Apply now.
