About Mazie
Mazie is an Anatolian Shepherd/Australian Shepherd mix who joined the rescue after some resourceful teamwork behind the scenes. She originally arrived as a stray, spent time in foster care, and then found her way into the program when other dogs suddenly needed a safe spot. Mazie is the kind of companion who asks for fresh air and space; she finds real comfort outdoors and loves yard time. In her foster home, she prefers chilling out in a crate in the air-conditioned garage over heading inside, which tracks with a history of outdoor living. Mazie is quiet at firstātimid with new people and placesābut shows her gentle side once given a little patience. She adjusts well and currently does great with young kids, other dogs, and even cats. Mazie fits a home where the family spends time outside or values a steady four-legged sidekick for yard work, porch sitting, or just wandering around outdoors. She wants to be close to her people, just not shut away from fresh air. Mazie is fully vetted, heartworm negative, and up to date on flea and tick prevention.
