About Roman
Roman had a rough start in life, coming from a hoarding situation, but he's quickly learning what it means to be a loved dog. At about seven months old, this large Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd mix is discovering the comfort of a soft bed, regular affection, safe adventures, and patient care. He's living in a foster home and, while initially timid, is steadily becoming braver and more playful. Roman enjoys playing with other dogs and is respectful with those who aren't interested—he does well with cats that don't mind a bit of harmless puppy chase. Still working on basic manners like polite leash walking and knowing what things are fair game to chew, Roman needs a home prepared to keep teaching him. He would do best in a house with a securely fenced area and would love to have another dog for companionship or at least regular canine playmates. Because he's still a big, clumsy puppy, he'd be happiest in a home with sturdy kids who can handle his size and energy. Roman needs someone committed to continuing his confidence-building and training as he grows up. Roman is in Nashville, TN and is able to travel for the right family.
