About Bug
Bug’s story started on shaky ground—he was left outside the shelter in the dark with his mom, Ruby. That early upheaval shaped him, and he’s spent much of his life figuring things out at his own speed. Bug and Ruby eventually landed in a home together, and everyone hoped that was it. But life threw a curveball, and now Bug is back at the shelter, looking for someone willing to be patient while he builds trust. Bug is gentle and sensitive. New situations are intimidating at first, but you can see him getting braver all the time. He doesn’t retreat like he used to; instead, he’ll cautiously approach, sniff around, size things up. Give him space and a calm environment, and he’ll start to show his softer side—especially if treats are involved. Loud places or lots of hustle aren’t for him. He’s made real progress but still has a long way to go with his confidence. Watching him work through his fears at his own pace is genuinely rewarding. Ruby is his rock. He’s happiest when they’re together, and the shelter would love to see them reunited in the same home. With time and understanding, Bug has the potential to become a deeply devoted companion. Bug was born on March 1, 2023, making him a Pisces—so he’s got that classic sweet, soft heart. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
