About Billie
Make their next chapter their best one yet. Billie is a lovable, medium-sized girl who came to rescue after surviving a heartbreaking beginning. Thought to be a Pointer/Aussie/Lab mix and weighing about 44 pounds, she was one of several dogs saved from severe neglect. Although Billie arrived frail and deeply discouraged, with dedicated foster care, she’s now starting to flourish: her body and spirit have both grown stronger with nourishing food, patient care, and positive experiences. These days, Billie enjoys some gentle play and is showing signs of confidence as she discovers happiness in her foster home. A calm, understanding family will be vital to help Billie continue healing and to allow her true personality to shine. She does well with other dogs but would prefer either to be the only canine companion or to live with a friendly, easygoing dog who respects her pace. A securely fenced yard where Billie can safely run and explore at her comfort level is ideal. Because Billie is still uneasy with quick movements, she’s best suited for homes with adults or older children who will provide the gentleness she needs. Good nutrition remains very important to her recovery and happiness. Local adopters in the NW Suburbs of Chicago are preferred. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
