About Trouble boy
Trouble Boy is a very shy six-month-old Chiweenie/Shih Tzu mix who just landed in rescue and is still learning how to trust people. He’s spent most of his puppyhood isolated among many other small dogs in a quiet home, which makes him skittish and unsure around new situations and faces. Trouble Boy is not a plug-and-play pet—he needs a patient adopter who understands rescue dogs and will respect the slow pace it takes to help him settle in. He does know how to use a doggy door and slept in bed with his previous person, but the outside world can still feel overwhelming for him. He will need safe containment and a quiet space to decompress, with someone willing to offer steady guidance and give him time to blossom. Homes with another gentle, confident small dog really seem to help pups like Trouble Boy feel safer and adjust. He’s scheduled to be neutered but can be adopted before or after that’s done. His future family should be prepared for a gradual transition and must never rush him outside unattended—he is a flight risk if startled. Once trust is earned, these dogs do learn to thrive. If you feel up for the challenge of helping Trouble Boy come out of his shell, he’s waiting in canyon lake, TX. Your new best friend is just one click away.
