She needs a committed adopter who understands rescue dogs, is prepared to give her a gradual introduction to the home, and is willing to confine her safely at first while she learns to trust and settle in. Shaggy Girl thrives best with another small, confident dog in the household and is looking for a calm, understanding environment where she can open up at her own pace. She's fully vetted, spayed, up to date on vaccines, and knows how to use the doggy door. She gets along with dogs, cats, and children, but will need a slow, gentle transition.
