About Tawny

Meet Tawny! Tawny's journey started on the streets, where she and her sister fought for survival in terrible conditions. Despite her tough beginnings, Tawny is a sweetheart with a calm, gentle disposition. She seems to be well-trained and enjoys the company of both people and other dogs. Tawny treasures simple comforts—a soft dog bed and a warm lap to cuddle up in. Her health is a top priority for us; she's been spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and is current on flea and tick prevention. A thorough veterinary evaluation, including a heart echocardiogram, found only reassuring results. While she has a Grade III/VI heart murmur, her overall cardiac assessment indicates a low risk of heart failure. Although we haven’t yet evaluated her with cats or children, Tawny’s friendly nature suggests she may adapt well given her positive interactions with dogs. Tawny is currently in Texas, but she can be transported to multiple locations for adoption. Start your journey with this loving girl and give Tawny the forever home she truly deserves.
