About Princess Lolly

Princess Lolly has been here in Maine, in foster, for so long and we don't understand why. She's had a lot of interest but, unfortunately most of the people who have reached out do not have a physically fenced-in yard, which is something that Lolly really needs due to her Pyr tendency to want to be outside and her fear of traffic. Her foster absolutely loves her and says: "Princess Lolly is such a dream dog. She is a calm, gentle, affectionate beast, but if you are to adopt her, you need to understand that over half of her DNA is Pyrenees and she has many of those traits. Two of her siblings were DNA tested and not only were the Pyrenees, but there was Komondor. She doesn’t have the chords of that breed, but she does have kind of a unique scruffy coat. It requires brushing at least every other day. She will also require professional grooming. She loves being outdoors she can entertain herself quite nicely outside. She really will need a yard with a physical fence. She’s not a runner, but she will check her perimeter that’s in her DNA. I think there was some Pitbull in her DNA and that explains how affectionate she is. She is a bit shy and sensitive. She has not had a lot of experience with children, but she would soon get used to them. She would love to have a dog sibling. She plays with all of her fosters dogs. She lived for a brief while with a cat, but then she started playing too rough. She doesn’t seem to have a prey drive. She just has the guardian tools gene. Her birthday is the end of March. So she is mostly grown. Her last weight was 56 pounds. Large dog but not huge. We will cry when she goes but she needs her own family. We want to keep on fostering so cannot adopt any more of our fosters."
