About Mudder

🐶 Basics ● Dog’s Name (include nicknames – we know you have them!): Mudder, AKA Tough Mudder, Muppet, Muddy ● Age / Size: 2 years, 8 pounds ● Rescued in Texas 💛 Personality Snapshot ● Describe in 3–5 words: goofy, hungry, learning ● Energy level (Low / Moderate / High): Moderate ● More people‑oriented or independent? People oriented ● How do they handle new situations? Cautiously but happily 🐕 Social & Home Life ● How are they with people (adults/kids/new people)? Mudder loves new people and is happy to jump into any lap. ● How are they with other dogs? Cautious approaching new dogs, and can be somewhat indifferent, but has played with his foster brother well who is the same size as him. ● Cats or other animals (if known)? Unknown ● Behavior when left alone or when guests visit: Excited to meet new people. Has been fine when I walk away from him as long as he has a bully stick. 🎓 Training & Manners ● Potty trained? Knows how to potty outside and on pee pads and working on getting into a routine ● Crate trained? Unsure ● Leash skills: Seems a bit new to walks. Easily distracted outside and avoids new dogs. Does much better in a harness than a collar. ● Commands known (if any): Unsure. 🌞 Daily Life ● Typical day with you: Mudder comes with me to the office. He hangs out at my desk with some toys and a bully stick and is content. He is extremely friendly. ● Exercise needs: Minimal- he seems happy to go for a walk or take a nap. ● Favorite activities or toys: Likes plushies a lot! He shakes them around like crazy. Again, bully sticks. He’s obsessed. 🌱 Growth Areas ● Anything they’re still working on? Pottying routine. Walking without distraction. ● What helps them succeed? Very treat and praise motivated. Do not put a collar on him. 🏡 Ideal Home ● Only dog / With dog / Either: Either I think. ● Good fit for apartment living? Yes ● Best type of household (active, moderate, calm): Moderate to calm. ● What kind of adopter would be the best match? I think Mudder would do well in most situations- but specifically someone who is loving, patient with potty training and wants someone to snuggle in bed with. Unsure if he’s okay with larger dogs. 💙 Foster Note I love how happy he is. His tail is always wagging and so far he doesn’t seem bothered by much. I think he’d make a great addition to any household. **Mudder previously tested positive for heartworm and was treated before he left Texas** INTERESTED IN ADOPTING?
