FOREVER HOME NEEDED (currently in foster care) Meet Chuck! Chuck is a 4½-year-old, 19 lb Pekingese who has settled in well to his foster home and is showing just what a sweet, gentle soul he is! Chuck’s fosters describe him as a quiet, easygoing guy who rarely barks and loves being close to his people. He’s incredibly soft (seriously, the fluff!) and enjoys nothing more than cuddling up, getting belly rubs, and rolling around in the grass. He’s been making great progress in his foster home with gaining confidence on walks, going longer distances, and while still a bit cautious, he is not reactive on leash. Chuck has done well meeting other dogs, though he can be a little reserved at first and appreciates slow introductions. He would do best in a home with older, respectful children, as younger kids can be a bit overwhelming for him. He has not been tested with cats. Chuck is also doing well with potty training and has not had accidents in the home when kept on a consistent schedule. He isn’t a big fan of the crate but tolerates it at night, especially when it’s close to his people. This sweet, treat-motivated boy is looking for a calm, loving home where he can continue to build confidence and be someone’s loyal cuddle companion.
