About Eduardo

11-year-old Eduardo came all the way from Bradshaw Shelter in Sacramento County to become a Frosted Face! He entered the shelter as a stray, having been there previously in 2019. That time, he was adopted, but very sadly, no one came for him this time. Shelter staff and volunteers advocated for his rescue, and we happily welcomed Eduardo as a Frosted Face on March 20th. Eduardo loves attention, is social with other dogs (he even had a roommate at the shelter), doesn't pull on leash, and enjoys slow walks. If you are looking for a mellow, gentle companion, he may be the one for you! Eduardo went on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we could learn what he is like in a home environment. This good boy earned a rave review! Here's the scoop from his foster mom: "Eddie has proven himself to be a lovely houseguest. The highlights: two weeks of no accidents, of checking before he gets up on the couch, of politely asking for pets, and no begging when we are eating. He was great when two little girls ran up to us at the park and asked if they could pet the doggie. Eddie showed he is tolerant of tiny hands on him. He's a gem! - We didn't hear him bark - the landscapers came and were working in our yards on his third day here, and he couldn't have cared less; so, sorry if you were hoping for a vocal guard dog! - He and our dog Astro have did very well in the same space together. They did a great job of sniffing each other then disengaging easily. There was no jealousy or agitation. - He is fully housetrained, zero accidents, AND is not compelled to mark anything in the home that he shares with another male dog. - He got plenty of pets and attention from strangers and handled it like the lovely gentleman he is. A bunch of kids descended on us this past weekend from the park (they all asked first), and he was incredibly mellow and neutral with the new hands on him. - I bet he would love to sleep in his new family's bed, if they allow it, but he is quite content to sleep on a bed on the floor... just be prepared for him to need to lay eyes on you from that bed's location, wherever it may be. - He really likes getting out on a walk. We found it quite beneficial to walk Eddie and our dog Astro together, so that Eddie can follow Astro. I truly think he'd go for as long as you'd let him, but he probably needs time to lose a little weight for longer distances. - He is a goofy guy, who loves to roll around on his bed or the carpet and make his little snuffling noises. Eddie just wants your love and to make you happy, and I think that makes him listen extremely well." To meet Eduardo, please email: placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org
