About Dolly
Dolly is looking for a fresh start in life! She is a lovely girl and her family is broken hearted that this is just not the right match. She is in a single dog home, but has done very well with other dogs. She loves to play hard and wrestle with them. We think she could do well in a home with other dogs. Her family has had friends with a dog take her for a weekend and boarded her over Rover with a couple who also had a dog. Both times things went well. We haven't had her around cats and do not know how she would do. She is leash trained, but still working on not pulling, she just gets SO EXCITED! She is eager to go on her walks, loves to play fetch, and knows the commands sit, down, stay, and paw. She is also working on come. She is crate trained - though sometimes reluctant to enter it - and she sleeps in her crate all night long. She is fully potty trained and rings the bell on the door to go out. Dolly's original people were not forthcoming with the trauma Dolly had experienced. Dolly adores men and the son in their home but is very afraid and doesn't trust women. With time, patience and a lot of positive reinforcement she will improve. Dolly's dream home would be a quiet one with a buddy and... men. Increasingly, we are doing FOSTER TO ADOPT options! That’s where you and puppers make sure you’re a good fit for one another before signing on “the dotted line”….. it’s a win-win for everyone! Just ask your adoption counselor about how this works. If you are interested in adopting this or another POPP dog, please complete our short adoption questionnaire found at: https://www.popptricities.org/adopt/adoption-questionnaire-canine/ If you have any questions. please E-mail us at dogsadopt@popptricities.org. Our puppy or dog adoption fee of $300 includes a lovable, non-judgmental canine companion who has been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped prior to adoption. Your adoption fee helps support POPP and our spay/neuter efforts in the community to end overpopulation of cats and dogs.
