Lainey was brought in as a stray in November 2025 to Dallas Animal Services with no known background, and she’s estimated to be around three years old. She’s currently fostered in Addison, Texas. Lainey has bloomed under her foster’s care. Her personality is truly that of a house hippo; she sleeps with her stuffed animal babies all day long on the couch, with a short zoomies break every now and then with a chew bone, and follows the foster’s two year old around the house. She loves children, especially littles, and she has been dog AND cat friendly! She loves long walks, and Lainey doesn’t pull on the leash at all, she stays walking right next to you. She rarely barks, and is usually very quiet! Potty training is going well, and she hasn’t had an accident in a long time! Lainey can get nervous around loud/energetic dogs and will try to hide, so if her forever home has pets, she would prefer calmer ones. Loud noises from people do not affect her, nor do toddler tantrums. She truly is a precious angel who deserves the world, come and see for yourself! Lainey is currently heartworm positive and undergoing treatment, which is fully covered by Mutts N Such Rescue. OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN TEXAS OR PENNSYLVANIA BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information. All of our dogs are located in a foster home in Texas or Pennsylvania. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Mutts N Such direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc). Our out of state adoption fee is $350 plus transport (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, fecal analysis, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days.
