About Cory

Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin! Cory is an incredibly handsome, medium-sized Chow Chow mix who has quickly won over the hearts of foster caregivers after being transferred from a crowded shelter. He was previously living on his own near a railyard, but thanks to caring workers and animal control officers, he now enjoys safety, stability, and all the comforts of home. Having been bathed, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, Cory is ready for his next chapter with a loving adopter or a foster-to-adopt home. Cory's estimated age is 3 to 5 years, and while initially reserved with strangers, he warms up and becomes quite affectionate once he feels secure. He enjoys playtime in a safely enclosed yard and truly thrives with one-on-one attention. As he's still discovering his favorite canine friends in foster care, future adopters should give him time to adapt and continue building his skills together. Cory was underweight when rescued but is now in good health. He will need adopters committed to ongoing training and guidance to help him reach his full potential. Potential adopters must have a securely fenced yard (minimum 4 feet), a high-quality crate (not wire or soft), and live in Western Washington or possibly Northern Oregon. Cory cannot go to homes with small children at this time. Meet-and-greets will be held in Poulsbo, WA, and all applicants must be able to visit in person. This loyal and affectionate dog is searching for dedicated people willing to provide patience, guidance, and plenty of love. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
