About Momo
Momo is a true character with a personality all her own. Rescued from a California shelter after being returned by previous adopters, sheâs landed in Washington and is now looking for her forever person. Momo is a medium-sized, long-haired Chow Chow, weighing around 45 lbs. Sheâs around 3-4 years old. Her approach to new humans is selective at firstâshe gauges people carefully before seeking affection. She needs time and patience to connect, but those who let her set the pace will be rewarded once she opens up. This is not a beginnerâs dog. Momo needs someone experienced with Chow Chows or who understands the breedâs particular quirks and signals. She does best with calm people who can give her the space to come to them on her terms. Sudden affection isnât her thing, at least in the beginning, but you might catch her sneaking in a lick when sheâs ready. Sheâs crate trained and house trained, and generally entertains herself if left alone for a reasonable stretchâbut leaving her unsupervised outside for long periods isnât suitable. Momo gets along fine with other dogs but cannot live with cats. A home without kids under 16 would be best. Sheâs spayed, chipped, and current on all vaccines. Born March 9, sheâs a Piscesâso donât be surprised if she has a gentle but quirky soul. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!

How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
A Chow Chow like Momo doesnât need a huge yard but will appreciate a secure, moderate outdoor area for sniffing and taking in the view. Regular walks and occasional playtime suffice, as long as she has her own space to decompress.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Chow Chows are often better suited to adult households or families with older children who understand boundaries. In Momo's case, she should go to a home without children under 16.
