About Goliath

Goliath is a striking 6-year-old, about 80 lbs, and carries a mix of Lab, Chow, and Anatolian. He landed at the rescue after being found as a stray and quickly captured hearts with his impressive size and loyal personality. Goliath is utterly devoted to the people he knows and thrives when he’s given attention—and food—by those he trusts. Treats are his love language and he’ll gladly focus up for a snack. He has an independent, stubborn streak and needs someone who understands big, powerful dogs. Goliath can be reactive around other animals and must be the only pet in the home; he does not get along with dogs or cats. He also isn’t suited to homes with young kids, as he’s strong, jumpy, and can get mouthy when excited. He needs an experienced, confident adult handler and a quiet, stand-alone house with a securely fenced yard. Suburban or rural living suits him best, far from city bustle. Structure, routine, and a calm environment will help him succeed. Goliath is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
