About Daisy
Daisy carries a quiet weight from a past that's left her wary yet hopeful. She came to New Jersey from West Virginia—plump and tidy, but her eyes say she’s known more solitude than affection. Daisy doesn’t understand toys or treats; she lets people pet her, but physical affection confuses her. She usually retreats into her crate, her chosen safe spot. If everyone leaves, she grows anxious and panicked, so a household with someone home most of the time is crucial. Daisy’s house and crate trained, and in her foster home she spends most of her time resting in her crate—her sanctuary—though she shares space willingly with other dogs. She bonds easily with canine companions, often joining them on beds or curled up together. Outdoors, Daisy perks up, thrilled to run or explore. She’ll thrive in a large, fenced yard with another friendly dog to show her the way. Daisy weighs about 60 lbs, likely between one and two years old—a gentle dog with deep, searching eyes. Trust comes slowly, but she clearly wants to connect and be someone’s best friend. Patience and routine will go far in helping her blossom into a loyal family pet. They are waiting with paws crossed!
