Today we welcomed two new dogs to the shelter, and their story is one we see far too often. Their owner has been in contact with us and, due to ongoing health issues, made the heartbreaking decision that they could no longer provide the care these two deserve. Surrendering a pet is never easy, but it was clear from the start that Micky and Minnie were loved and cared for. This decision was made out of concern for their well being. Micky is a 2 year old male Maltese and Minnie is a 2 year old spayed female Maltese. They arrived together today and are beginning to settle in while our staff spends time getting to know them. As we do with all of our residents, we will be working with them and learning their personalities so we can find them the right homes where they will continue to receive the care, stability, and love they deserve!
