Sophie is a tiny 15 year old Maltese Poodle mix weighing just under 8 pounds. She is polite gentle and very sweet. Her favorite place is simply near her person. She coexists well with other small dogs and has an easygoing presence. Sophie came into rescue when her owner could no longer care for her. It took her a few days to adjust but she is settling in beautifully and showing her soft affectionate personality. Her eyesight is good and her hearing is still fairly strong for her age. She does have a heart murmur but is not on any medication at this time. She doesn't love being left alone so we are hoping to find her a calm quiet home where someone is around most of the time. Sophie is a lovely little soul looking for comfort companionship and a soft place to land for her golden years. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. We prefer applicants live within 60 miles of Closter, NJ. (Applicants who live farther away may still apply.
