Medical: On 3/2 staff noted: "P was noted on intake exam to have a very poor body condition. Any patient with a BCS of a 1 or 2 is eligible for a medical feeding treatment plan. Assessment: P has a BCS of a 1 or a 2 on the Purina body score scale. A low body score could indicate an increased risk of refeeding syndrome when provided access to an unregulated amount of food. P's current weight: 33.8 lbs P's ideal weight: ~45-50lbs A medical feeding plan is recommended to ensure a slow reintroduction to caloric intake. These meals should be provided and monitored by a medical team member until recheck with veterinarian. Very curious about the other dog - pulling towards him with a low-wagging tail and redirected easily. Walked well back to kennel but then put the brakes on hard and would not go in. I tried to use leash pressure and he resisted. Got permission to use a small treat to get him to go back in. Followed it and jumped right into kennel." On 3/2 APO noted: "Removed one stray pitty from vacant property. Dog is extremely friendly, medium tail wag, soft eyes, and ears flat and to the back."
