About Hector
HECTOR was found as a stray. He is chipped but sadly his guardian changed his contact info and never updated the chip company, so there was no way to contact him. Luckily, someone was able to rescue him and bring him to the shelter before the really cold weather set in, and HECTOR has shown his gratitude with his loving nature. As a stray, we do not have a history and do not know if he cares for dogs, cats, or children. He's ok with his roommates, but at his age, he may do best in a quiet home. He may be ok with a non-aggressive dog or cat. He would be fine with older children who understand that he is older and probably would be less of a playmate and more of a bed sharer. HECTOR looks like he had been on his own for a bit but that did not have an impact on his personality. He is a sweet boy that likes attention. He wants pets and loving and he deserves that and so much more! But he doesn't ask for attention. He seems to stay in the background, as if he doesn't expect any love or pets. Whatever happened to him in the past seems to have made him try to fade into the background. HECTOR did not choose to be "out in the cold", that was a human's choice. HECTOR is not a youngster, but given the love and care he deserves, he has many years left to be the perfect companion to someone who may be as lonely as he is. He is ready to share his golden years in a home, not a shelter! Please don't let HECTOR fade into the background!
