About Casey
Casey has made it through the hard scrapes of street life and has earned his spot as a laid-back, resilient companion. His left eye is blind and he likely has limited vision in his right, making him sensitive to bright lights and abrupt movement. Still, Casey manages well—he learned to trust his caretaker, seeking gentle pets and quietly hanging close once he’s comfortable. It helps to let him know you’re there before touching him, as surprises can startle him into swatting or hiding, but he’s never mean—just cautious after his tough past. He’s no fan of being picked up, but being nearby and talking with you is right up his alley. Casey isn’t into roughhousing or noisy chaos and may be happiest as the only pet in a calm home. He tends to stand his ground with other cats but prefers to withdraw rather than escalate. Small children and other busy pets are probably overwhelming for him, though a considerate older child might earn his trust in time. He might not be chasing toys, but Casey is always up for a chat or a quiet afternoon lounging with his person. Casey is FIV+, but with care he can live a full life. He just needs someone willing to give him patience and space to settle in. Born 10/7/2023, Casey is a Libra—so he knows a thing or two about balance. Ready to fall in love?
