About Chi

How much energy do you have? If you have some, meet Chi (Chief), an Australian/Blue heeler packed with energy. He is a four-year-old, neutered male looking for a place to call home. Like many young pet owners, the owner of Chief had him since he was 8 weeks old but is now unable to take him with because he has a different place that does not allow pets. The original owner asked his parents to take Chief in. They did, but two of their three dogs and Chief do not get along. There is a struggle in the pack. The parents believe the best thing would be for Chief to find a new home to keep everyone safe. Chief does get along with female dogs but does not do well with other male dogs. On another note, Chief has not been exposed to cats. Chief is house trained, crate trained, up to date on vaccinations appropriate for his age. He is also microchipped. Chief has a wonderful personality like most heelers. He loves the outdoors, but he also does well in the house. If you do leave for a time, you must crate him or he will chew on whatever he deems appropriate. You, of course, might NOT agree with his choice. He is well-versed with commands and is well-mannered. He does well with children and loves the attention. Don't forget to play fetch and other games with him when outside. He loves almost any game you can think of. In regard to manners, you can set his food down, and he will not eat it until you tell him. Chief's ideal living situation would be a family with no other male dogs or any cats. He would like a lot of outdoor time playing fetch and roaming about.. When inside he would like to spend time cuddling and lounging with his people. If you feel you can provide a safe, fun-filled, loving environment for Chief, go to pawswi.com and complete the application. A representative will reach out to you to discuss Chief. Chief's adoption fee is $200 and that includes tax.
