Hi, I'm Peaches - a 117-pound Newfoundland mix and quite possibly the biggest baby you'll ever meet! I'm a true people girl at heart, and nothing makes me happier than being close to my humans and soaking up all the affection you're willing to give. Honestly, I could sit right in front of you all day just being loved on, leaning into pets and quietly enjoying your company. The shelter environment makes me a little nervous and unsure at first, but once I realize you're here to be kind and give me attention, I warm up quickly and turn into a total sweetheart. My favorite place is wherever you are, because being by your side and feeling safe is what makes my big heart happiest. Because I'm such a large lady, I need a home with plenty of space to stretch out and move around - apartment life just isn't for me. I'll also need regular grooming to keep my fluffy coat healthy and free of mats, which just means more bonding time together if you ask me! A secure yard is important since I've been known to wander off on adventures before, and a family familiar with Newfoundland-type breeds would really help me thrive. I have all the makings of a wonderful family dog - gentle, loving, and loyal to the core.
