Forever Home Needed 🐾 Tikka is a ~7-month-old, 40 lb Border Collie mix looking for her true forever family. She was adopted from us in January but, through no fault of her own, she is back with us due to unexpected personal and living situation changes in her adopted home. Now she’s ready for the right family who will love her for life! Tikka is a smart, loving, and fun puppy who thrives on routine. In true Border Collie fashion, she’s quick to learn and very in tune with her people. She even gets a little sassy if dinner or her post-meal playtime is delayed (she likes to keep everyone on schedule! 😄). She has done well living with another dog and loves having a playful dog companion. She can be a bit excited with cats at first, but with time and proper introductions she has learned to coexist well with them. In her adopted home, Tikka lived with a 7 year old child and did amazing! Tikka is still a puppy and very food motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding. She prefers to eat her meals without other pets crowding her bowl, but she has shown no issues with people handling her food while she eats. With her energy, intelligence, and playful personality, Tikka would thrive in an active home that enjoys adventures and including their dog in daily life. Hikes, walks, playtime, and continued training will help her grow into an incredible companion. A home with another playful dog is a must!
