About Sejitas
Meet Sejitas! 3 years old | 46 lbs | Female | Chihuahua / Shepherd Mix Sejitas is a truly special girl with a story of resilience, sweetness, and second chances. Originally rescued in Mexico, Sejitas is a survivor in every sense — including beating TVT cancer. Today she is healthy, thriving, and ready to start the next chapter of her life with a loving forever family. Her name, Sejitas (meaning “little eyebrows”), comes from her adorably scrunched brow. When she was rescued, she had an open wound on her face that required stitches, leaving her with the cutest permanently expressive forehead that makes her look like she's always raising her eyebrows at the world. It only adds to her charm! At 46 pounds, Sejitas is currently rocking a 9/9 body condition score, so she's starting a wellness journey and will benefit from a healthy diet and regular exercise to reach her ideal weight of around 35 pounds. Think of it as her glow-up era — and she'd love a family to cheer her on with walks and adventures. Personality-wise, Sejitas is quite simply an angel. She is calm, gentle, and incredibly easy to live with. She is fully house trained, has no accidents indoors, and settles beautifully in her crate — even if it's in another room — without making a peep. She's also wonderfully social. Sejitas previously lived in a foster home with cats and did great, and she is currently adjusting to life with dogs in her foster home. Back in Mexico, she lived among many other dogs without any issues, so with proper introductions she should do well in a multi-pet home. To top it all off, Sejitas is great with kids, making her a fantastic family companion. Sweet, resilient, and full of love to give, Sejitas has already overcome so much in her life. Now she's just looking for a safe place to land — a home where she can continue her health journey, soak up affection, and show her forever family what a truly special dog she is. If you're looking for a gentle, loyal companion with the cutest little eyebrows in town, Sejitas may be your girl. Vaccinated for Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella. Neutered and microchipped. Tested for vector-borne illnesses. Current on flea, tick, and heart worm prevention. To apply to adopt Sejitas, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for a foster application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal.
