Hooper is a 24 lb., 8-year-old male rat terrier mix with a wonderful personality and sweet temperament. He can be a little shy at first, but once he feels comfortable with his people, he absolutely blossoms. Hooper loves giving kisses and soaking up attention from those he trusts. He gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home and doesn't seem to pay much attention to the cats. Hooper does well with the older children in his foster home; however, we would not recommend a home with small children, as loud noises and sudden excitement can make him nervous. He would thrive with older kids who can give him the gentle attention he craves. Hooper is a true snuggle bug. He's happy to curl up for a nap on the sofa or in his bed, but his favorite place to sleep is right beside his people. At bedtime, he'll happily give you goodnight kisses before snuggling in for the night. He is a loyal little companion who truly wants to be close to his family. Hooper has a healthy appetite and may eat quickly, but he doesn't guard or overeat. He is leash trained, reliably potty-trained (with only the occasional minor accident), and crate trained—especially if there's a treat involved!
