Originally known as Blyss, Zara found herself on a stranger’s porch before landing in the shelter—no one ever came looking for her, but she’s found safety and care since then. Rescuers think she's a unique mix of rat terrier, miniature pinscher, and maybe a hint of pit bull, with an athletic build, long legs, a brilliant red brindle coat, and big, expressive ears. When she arrived, Zara was underweight at 29 pounds, but she’s filled out to a healthy 38 pounds.
