Looking to bring oodles of fun to your home? Meet Oodle (ACCT-A-244013)! This pup a playful and social guy who loves to show off his "sit" and enjoys a good treat. He's described as goofy and handler-oriented, which means he's eager to please and bond with his people. He's also shown interest in dogs and has loved participating in play group, with a staff member describing him as a ton of fun! He can be pretty strong on leash and has shown some lunging behaviors when stressed, so Oodle would benefit from a confident handler to help him navigate the world safely. In the play yard, he's wiggly and silly, getting quick zoomies before returning for pets and snacks. Big and strong on leash, but minimal jumpiness. He's interested in other dogs and gave appropriate sniffs through the fence. He's playful and goofy in the yard, showing off sit and taking treats nicely! Behavior eval 3/1/2026: Kennel Presentation: Sitting at the front of his kennel on his bed with a losoe body and soft eyes. Took a bacon treat nicely through the door. Leash Skills: Easy to leash. Moderate pulling through the kennels. Put on the brakes at one point and had to be coaxed to continue walking by crouching, using a baby voice, and showing some treats. Very strong on leash outside. Sociability: Playful and social in the yard, handler-oriented. Jumpy for treats and did try to grab my treat cup off my belt, then easily redirectable with a treat scatter. Knows sit and will take treats nicely from an open palm. Allowed handling all over. Play: No interest in toys Dog Interaction: Good fence meet with Buck. Small hackles and leaning forward, mid tail. Sniffed him thoroughly through the fence then disengaged. Seemed extremely interested in other dogs (saw Tonka through the fence across yards and was fixated on her, seemingly in an interested way - no vocalizations or jumpiness, just staring through the fence with small hackles while she whined to say hi too). He does pull hard toward other dogs wanting to say hi. Return to Kennel: Half step in to return. Color Level: Exp gold Recommendations and considerations: Strong handler - be prepared for pulling on leash. Per staff 02/28/2026: When walking by the kennel this evening, dog lunged at the gate with paws on it, hard barking Per staff 02/28/2026: Loose wiggly tail, ears back and soft squinty eyes at the gate for myself and a male volunteer. Took treats gently, easy to leash. Pulled moderately, sniffing everything. After pooping started taking treats, before that was sniffing them and walking away. Passed by two dogs in close proximity; one on leash and the other behind a fence. Unfazed, looked and looked away. Tail Slightly higher than middle throughout the time out. When interacting with me for treats, middle tailHelicoptering, soft eyes and ears back. When touching his back would lip lick, slow his movements, walk away when I stopped. Easy to return to kennel Play group notes 02/28/2026: Steerable with water (2/5) but not shake can (0/5). At gate: upright, curious, mid-level wags. Upon entry, immediately went over to sniff Gretchen with a helicopter tail, and was appropriately corrected (with subtle lip raises) for space. Soon launched into push/pull & rough/rowdy play with Chase Damoney. Per staff 02/27/2026: Put on eval due to lunging at people in the lobby while awaiting an ACA Per staff 02/27/2026: Came in dog intake pulling aca's, high wagging tail while sniffing around the room.
