About Calypso
Meet the mesmerizing Calypso! Calypso came to TCR with her siblings when they were cattens. They were all a bit nervous and shy around people, and Calypso was the most cautious of them all. Since then, Calypso has gotten more comfortable around people and has blossomed into a very sweet and loving girl. She can still be a little nervous, but is much braver! Calypso enjoys spending time with her foster family and getting lots of pets. She LOVES to have her tail "pet" and receive scratches at the base of her tail on her back. She can't resist it! As soon as someone does it, she can't help but purr and ask for more. Another thing Calypso can never resist is churus. She LOVES them and that is the fastest way to earn her trust. Calypso is a bit more subdued than most of the other cats in her foster home, so she doesn't often participate in playtime, but she does enjoy toys in 1-on-1 playtime with you or by herself. She does often get annoyed with the younger, more energetic fosters and doesn't like to play or wrestle with them. Calypso would do best in a family that doesn't already have an energetic and super playful cat. She does, however, do well with some of her older and calmer cat friends and can often be found cuddling with them. Her foster parents believe she would do okay in a home with another older and calmer cat who would respect her boundaries or in a home as a single cat. Because Calypso is still learning to trust humans and can be nervous sometimes, it would be best for her to be in a home without dogs or young children. She would probably do okay in a family with older children who can be patient with her as they earn her trust. Calypso is estimated to be almost 2 years old. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, flea treated, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Give this sometimes elusive, but also very beautiful and loving goddess a home!
