We have a very special kitty named Fondue! A concerned person found Fondue outside looking very sick and lethargic and in need of immediate help. Trash Cat Rescue quickly took her in and got her to the vet the next day. Her condition was extremely serious, but thankfully she pulled through and is happy and thriving today- ready to find her new home! Fondue has so much love to give for her second chance at life, but she's not really sure how to show it to people. She takes a little time to be confident with new people. She purrs and rolls around on the floor, but reach out to pet her and she will dip under a cat tree. It doesn't take long for her to poke back out and try again. She wants to be loved but she's still a bit nervous. Fondue is an amazing little cat when she's able to get over that initial nervousness. She's a big cuddler, an experienced biscuit maker, she likes to head bump, roll on the floor, and flirt. Fondue doesn't mind being held and being placed in your lap. She has so much love to give, she just needs a patient family to help her build her confidence and trust. Fondue seems to enjoy the company of other cats, but just like with people, she gets nervous with play. She is fine with other cats but needs some time to build confidence with interactions. She is shy around dogs but could possibly be okay with one given a slow introduction. We think Fondue can work up to living with children, even young ones, if her adopters have the understanding that she may initially be timid. She will need some assistance and time to build her confidence! Fondue is around 2 years old and has been spayed, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV.
