Say hello to Penguin! This sweetie was rescued in January of this year with her sister Panda the day before a huge Pittsburgh snow storm. Penguin is a shy but playful little kitten. It's not hard to satisfy her need to play! She loves all kinds of feathers, wand toys, jingle balls, and loves to chase and pounce on her toys. She's so very active and energetic! Penguin still has her reservations about people, and completely judges her sister when she spots her asking for pets. Penguin may initially hide and pretend she's not there. However with a feathery wand toy or some Churu treats she doesn't take much bribing to come out. She tolerates being petted while eating. With her foster mom, Penguin usually sits in her lap and watches whatever is happening on the cellphone screen, trying to bop the videos with her paws. Penguin loves wrestling with her sister, Panda. She would need to have a playful feline companion to help her burn off her plentiful energy. She is shy around dogs but could possibly be okay with one given a slow introduction. We think Penguin would do best with older children that can read her cues. Her adopters will need to come in with the understanding that she may initially be skittish and timid. She will need some assistance and time to build her confidence. Penguin is 4 months old and has been spayed, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested negative for FIV/ FeLV.
