My name is Shawna, and I’m a 2 - year - old Doberman with legs for zooming and a heart for loving. Let’s get the important stuff out of the way: I LOVE people. Big people. Small people. Kids are basically my favorite humans. I try really hard not to crash into people when I’m playing... but sometimes I get excited and forget to watch where I’m going. Oops. I promise it’s all love and zoomies. And one more important thing — I smile. When I greet you, I’ll flash you the biggest Doberman grin. I also smile when I’m in trouble ( what can I say? I’m embarrassed ). It’s just my sweet, sensitive way of saying, “I love you and I’m trying my best.” I’m playful and athletic — I can absolutely hold my own wrestling with my two Doberman housemates. But don’t let that fool you... I’m also incredibly gentle with miniature dogs and even cats. Yes, cats. I know. Impressive. Chickens? I see them. I acknowledge them. I choose peace. My prey drive is well - managed, thank you very much. I have excellent recall (which basically means when you call me, I actually come). I learn fast, understand boundaries, and figured out the yard rules quickly. I’m intuitive and sensitive — I really try hard to be a good girl and I don’t like being in trouble. Praise works wonders on me. I adore my crate — it’s my cozy little bedroom. Sometimes I even tuck myself in when I’m ready for some beauty rest. I also like to take special treasures into my crate to remind me of my people... a shoe, a sweatshirt, something that smells like you. I don’t really think of it as stealing. It’s more like... sharing. You share your heart, I borrow your sock. Fair trade. Exercise? Love it. Downtime? Also love it. I’m equally talented at zoomies and professional couch lounging.
