About Flanagan
Flanagan, also known as Flan, is a gentle-hearted Doberman mix who’s found his stride since overcoming a serious infection. He’s regained his health and currently enjoys a clean bill from the vet. Sensitive and affectionate, Flan loves spending time with family—he especially connects with children and adores his 7-year-old foster brother. They play cars, run in the yard, and end the day snuggled up for stories. Flan gets along with cats, though he’s still figuring out how to share spaces and toys with them. Playtime usually means gentle zoomies or proudly trotting around with his stuffed “lambchop” toy. Around the house, he’s quiet, well-mannered, and doesn’t need to be crated. He prefers curling up on his dog bed or a favorite blanket. He’s still building confidence outside and finds new places and noises a bit intimidating, so he’ll need a patient adopter willing to help him work on leash skills and bravery in new environments. Flan does best with a predictable routine and a calm setting, ideally with a fenced yard, positive reinforcement, and a gentle approach to training. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion and can offer structure and understanding, Flanagan will shine as part of your family. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
