This baby, MITZY, is our newest rescue puppy! She is 10 weeks old and 10 lbs as of February 21, 2026. Our best guess on breed is a Lab/Shepherd mix! We expect her to be a medium sized dog based on her current age and weight, probably in the 35-45 range. Personality-wise, Mitzy is a sweet, cuddly, gentle girl. She loves human touch, kisses, hugs, and being held. She enjoys rides in her little sling as you can see! She was found as a stray so her new home environment is all new to her but she’s taking it in stride! At times, she is a little shy with new things but she’s a wonderful little pup and we can’t wait to see her personality blossom further. She is being fostered in Puerto Rico with one of our best fosters in a very nice area. She is being treated like royalty by her 8 year old daughter, who she absolutely loves! In fact, we gave the little girl the responsibility of naming her and she chose “Mitzy” which we think suits her so well! She’s ladylike and sweet, just like her name would suggest. The girl is teaching Mitzy how to swim in her pool and she seems to enjoy it! Mitzy gets along great with other dogs. She is currently in a home with 2 other adult dogs and no issues at all. She'd be excellent with cats too as she is young. It’s great age for cat intros! Mitzy is up to date on her vaccinations and is microchipped. We think Mitzy would be loved by many in the NYC area so we are only listing her as possibly flying to an adopter here for that reason.
