About Foxy
This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally. **Please read Foxy's entire profile, which includes a link to the adoption application at the end. Thank you!** Meet Foxy - a 9 month old Shepherd mix gal who weighs 32 pounds as of 2/19/26. Based on her size now we expect she will end up around 40 pounds - the perfect size for the perfect dog. Foxy has been patiently waiting and growing up in rescue - and we know we need to find her a family soon while she still has so much puppy to love!! She is the perfect blend of playful and young without having to take her out to the bathroom every two hours in a New England winter :) Foxy was an owner surrendered dog in Georgia - now living in an incredibly loving foster home. Her southern foster shares "Foxy is a true treasure!! She is a happy go lucky girl!! She loves playing and exploring. And after that, wow is this gal ready to cuddle with her person and watch a movie. She would do best in an active home because young active puppies need exercise like hiking, walking, and exploring every day! She will be your sidekick on any adventure be it in the car or out exploring. We think she would need a fenced yard to be able to run free and play - while she loves leash walks she also loves her run around time. She is super friendly, loves attention, and to play. She is very smart too and will be easy to train - and already crate trained and housebroken. We think she would be great for a family with school aged children. Foxy is a fantastic dog, and one lucky family is about to get the most wonderful new family member!" All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be. To adopt or learn more about Foxy, you must fill out an adoption application. To find the application, copy and paste this URL into your browser: WWW.GDRNE.COM/ADOPTION-APPLICATION [Adoption Fee: $495] ** PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works. Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
