About Serena Wiggles
This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally. **Please read Serena Wiggles's entire profile, which includes a link to the adoption application at the end. Thank you!** Meet Serena Wiggles - a 4 year old, Shepherd mix (as of 11/25), who weighed 50 pounds (as of 3/4/25). Serena Wiggles entered our care after the Rockdale County pound in Georgia had to be evacuated immediately due to a chemical fire. So even if her owners had tried to find her, they would not have known where she went as that place had no communication for the dogs they brought us. Serena has been here since October of 2024! We're so happy we were able to offer this girl love and safety. Miss Serena Wiggles is ready to wiggle her way into your heart! Serena Wiggles, the playful and adventurous spirit you've been searching for! This sweet girl embodies joy and energy, always ready to make new friends and explore her surroundings. With a zest for life, Serena delights in playing with her toys, running in open spaces, and embarking on exciting adventures. Serena does wonderfully on walks and goes happily wherever her people bring her. She is not bothered in the least by strangers and is very friendly meeting new people. She would best in a home with older kids as she loves her toys and likes to have them all to herself (the littles don't always understand!) She enjoys her dog friends - especially if they are happy to let her be the ball queen. Fetching is her love language. And, like her namesake Serena, the tennis star, tennis balls are her jam. She can chase a ball for hours. She knows how to bring a ball back, drop it and let go. She LOVES water.... and likes to play in it - doesn't matter if it's a creek or kiddie pool, if it splashes she is in! Skip the puppy chaos and start at “best girl” mode. She’s house trained, polite, and ready to plug into your life on day one. If you want a joyful companion who will celebrate every walk, car ride, and sunny afternoon with you, Serena is your girl. She is a ready made dog for someone who doesn't want to have to train a dog and appreciates bypassing the heathen puppy stage. We aren't sure why she is still here as she's pretty perfect. All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works. Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
