About Denim Dazzle
This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally. **Please read Denim Dazzle's entire profile, which includes a link to the adoption application at the end. Thank you!** The DAZZLE pups are filled with sparkle and are sure to light up your life! Denim Dazzle and her siblings are 15 month old (as of 3/13), Shepherd / Heeler mixes, and she weighs approx. 33 pounds (as of 10/23/25) Working on getting an updated weight. Quick update: This girl loves to please. She's been in my house for several days and has already been working on commands: sit, down, off, and come. She is doing a super job in her crate (sleeps in it and has been in it for 2 four-hour stints when I've been out of the house) and has not had an accident in the house. She is a submissive girl and sometimes lets out some nervous pee when laying on her back but is doing it less as she gets more comfortable. She gets along wonderfully with my two dogs and is really such an amazing and sweet girl. I have attached a video of her following a few commands and some more pictures of her in the house. I walk her 3+ miles a day with my other two dogs-all on leash and she always enjoys getting out. She loves the car and being included in adventures. In the house she has some zoomie energy at times but quickly settles in a comfortable place for a nap, preferably cuddled up next to someone. It was discovered that she has IBD and that has been managed well with probiotics, omeprazole and being kept on Purina Pro HA Vegetarian food. We have been giving her freeze dried lamb lung as a treat and she enjoys carrots. Her foster shares: "This little girl is the runt of her litter, but that doesn’t slow her down! She is friendly, playful and loves being around her siblings and other puppies. Despite her size, she holds her own against her siblings and has a blast doing it. She will need puppy training and may need routine exercise due to the breed. She does well in the car. Denim Dazzle enjoys hikes and adventures. She is just a pint sized cutie ready to find her forever family!" Denim Dazzle has been in rescue for THIRTEEN months, let's get this girl her forever home!!!! All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
