About July
July is a cute, 7-year-old gal with some ongoing health issues. She came to us with a mammary mass. We removed as much as we could, but could not get all of it. Her biopsy came back and the mass was, sadly, cancerous. We did chest X-rays and for now everything looks clear there. Juju will need an adopter with a good relationship with their vet. Juju can be a little nervous when she is in a new place. She warms up to her person quickly, but should be given time to come out of her shell. Once she trusts you, she is all snuggles and looks for belly rubs. She seems OK with other dogs and would likely be fine with cats, but would be best in an adult-only home. If you want to give an old gal a great retirement home, email us for an application! We do NOT respond to PetFinder inquires; we only respond to emails sent to adopt@scituateanimalshelter.org regarding adoption inquires. We never know how quickly a pet will be adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in a pet but want to see them during our shelter open hours prior to filling out an application, we strongly recommend that you email us at adopt@scituateanimalshelter.org before visiting the shelter to ensure they are still there. Open hours are Wednesdays 1:30-6pm, and Saturdays and Sundays 10am-2pm for you to come view our adoptable pets. You can apply for animal at the shelter during our open hours or online by emailing adopt@scituateanimalshelter.org and asking for an application. Adoption fees allow our non-profit to continue to help pets in need. Meet and greets with animals are scheduled after applications have been processed and we’ve determined you are the best fit. We do not operate on a first come, first served basis.
